How we work

Our approach

We design homes that feel deeply considered, never overdesigned. A home should be more than beautiful: it should be intuitive and deeply specific to the people who live in it, and hold up over time, both aesthetically and functionally. Every project is tailored to the way each client lives.

The process

From concept through completion

Founder and principal designer Alexandra Peck leads the firm with a keen architectural sensibility, refined aesthetic and highly collaborative approach.

  1. Discovery consultation

Every project begins with a complimentary project discovery consultation. Tell us about your project and we will be in touch within one to two business days to schedule a 30-minute phone call, to learn more about you and what you hope to achieve.

  2. Concept and design direction

Alexandra creates the concept: the overall design narrative and aesthetic direction, shaped by how you want your home to look and by the way you live. Each project is approached as a complete composition.

  3. Design development

The design is developed in detail, with the specification of every interior architectural element, from material finishes, fixtures and appliances to hardware and lighting.

  4. Sourcing and art curation

Architectural and decorative finishes, fixtures, hardware and furnishings are sourced for the home. Art curation and sourcing can be part of the process too: we love helping clients discover pieces that feel like them.

  5. Documentation and procurement

The studio prepares 3D visualizations, architectural drafting and the construction documentation for the build, then manages procurement.

  6. Construction and installation

Through the project build out, we coordinate construction with the design and construction partners each project needs, and Alexandra oversees the installations until the home is complete.

Design philosophy

Sophisticated without feeling staged

Layered without feeling heavy. Personal without sacrificing refinement. Our work is grounded in architecture, materiality and the way a space is experienced day to day.

  • Structure and movement

We are drawn to how layout shapes flow, how materials create atmosphere and how small details build a larger sense of cohesion.

  • Two disciplines

Formal design training gave Alexandra structure, proportion and spatial logic; classical ballet, a feel for form, flow and balance.

  • A complete composition

Every element is selected in relationship to the whole, from the proportions of a room to the patina of a fixture.

  • Designer, curator, creative partner

Alexandra’s ultimate goal is to design places where clients and their friends and families will make lasting, joyous memories.

  • A principal-led studio

Alexandra is directly involved in every design decision, conversation and solution, supported by trusted design specialists.

  • Bespoke and one of a kind

Working with trusted fabricators, we design bespoke furniture, lighting, rugs and window treatments, and curate vintage finds.
